You may have read or heard reports that I have agreed to move from Lazio to AC Milan. But I would like to make it clear that nothing has been agreed.
There were some comments supposedly from my agent saying that I had reached agreement with the club and will be playing for Milan next year but that is not the case. I think people have put two and two together and come up with five.
I have previously expressed an interest in joining a team from Milan. I have said before that I am approaching the last few years of my career now, so I think it is only natural I want to play for a big team that has the ambition to win major prizes in Italy and Europe.
I would love to win more medals before I retire. But my leaving Lazio is by no means certain. Of course AC Milan have just been crowned champions and, doubtless, the club will be looking on how to strengthen their side for next season.
But I want to make it clear that nothing has been agreed and these comments attributed to my agent have not come from my camp.
In the meantime, I have the challenge of ensuring Lazio finish in fourth place in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League. I have been back for our last two matches the 0-0 draw with Internazionale and last weekends 1-1 draw with Reggina - after recovering from a hamstring strain.
We now have two games left against Brescia and Modena to make up ground to displace Roma, who are currently two points ahead of us in fourth place.
