Inter Unlikely To Sign Cesar Or Inzaghi
Inter’s attempts to sign Aparecido Cesar and Simone Inzaghi from Lazio look to have failed.
It was expected that a deal would be concluded in Rome on Tuesday after the two clubs met in the Coppa Italia.
But Inter owner Massimo Moratti claimed: "I’d say that the Lazio deal has dropped off. I haven’t spoken to (Claudio) Lotito and there is nothing new to add."
Lazio president Lotito added: "I don’t think they were interested in pressing ahead with the deal. We didn’t put anyone on the market."
Cesar is currently injured and available for free at the end of the season, while Inter appear to be coping well with their lack of strikers and may not require the services of Inzaghi.
